Dean Martin has been in the entertainment business for over 30 years and started off as a child actor. He attended drama school and appeared in many TV commercials and also played a mini part called Joe in BBC 1 Grange Hill for 2 years.
By the age of 10, Dean broke away from acting and turned to music and in particular, DJ-ing, and by the age of 11, did his first disco at his primary school Sacred Heart. Dean continued to provide discos for all ages, and then started to get involved with his local hospital radio station, which was Radio Barnet, and by the age 15 he was the youngest presenter on the station.
When leaving school, Dean had his own disco company, Dean's Dynamite Disco (an explosion of sound). He worked at Tesco head office in Cheshunt and Harlow and became the resident DJ at Tesco Country Club.
A little bit about.......... DEAN MARTIN

Whilst in his 20s a friend of Deans heard an advert on Capital FM looking for new DJs called "Search For A Star” and was sponsored by Pepsi.
He didn't want to enter at first, but in the end did. He turned up Capital Radio's brand new building in Leicester Square along with 180 wannabe radio presenters.
His first audition was for just 60 seconds, and was met with a simple “Thank you, goodbye”.
The following week Dean was called back got for round 2. This went on for 6 weeks and he even cancelled a holiday just in case.
Luckily he did because he reached the final. Only 6 DJs including Dean had to present a radio show in front of a packed out Radio Cafe all being judged by Neil "Dr” Fox.
Dean went on last.
Then came the results. “And the winner is…..Dean Martin.
This was the start of Deans radio career, and he started to present shows at the Radio Cafe after which he moved upstairs and joined Capital Gold, and has now been on Gold Network for almost 15 years.
